Stillness
Is there anyone out there struggling with being still?
Yes, stillness. A type of stillness that does not involve the absence of movement or activity… but a stillness that requires rest, patience, and belief. Now, back to the question “is there anyone out there struggling with being still?” I know I am. Some seasons require us to be still and rest to take our foot off the gas and just put our vehicle of life in cruise control where we will still arrive at our purposed destination without the work of self acceleration. If you’re anything like me stillness can seem like an enemy of progress and goal achievement. I a self professed control freak, perfectionist, and planner who is currently learning the value of stillness.
I’m just a girl… one who is highly ambitious and sets goals on a time table for myself to achieve. But, what happens when a self created timeline gets interrupted… annoyance, frustration, and depression can set in. In this current season maybe stillness is not the enemy but a friend that is introduced by the lover of our soul. What if stillness, is His way of aligning you and positioning you for something amazing. What if stillness is a momentary pause and reset because your timeline is rushed and may lead to destruction instead of redemption. Mmmmm…..
Stillness.
What if stillness is the setup to your miracle. Yeah, that’s right I said miracle, if anything I have learned in the past few years is patience. Slowly but surely my perspective is starting to shift because your girl is expecting a big miracle. So the next time you feel behind or defeated remain still because your victory may be in your stillness and surrender. Oh, and remember this word surrender because it will be important in a coming blog and video.
Until next time,

Salvation
It all begins with an idea.
Some may ask what is salvation and how does it work?
The Bible speaks about salvation in many scriptures but one that stands out to me in this season is Ephesians 2:8-10 which states, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” This means nothing we can do can earn us salvation because it is a gift from God. A gift that keeps on giving through the sharing of the good news and faith. A gift that is driven by grace and mercy.
Now, let us focus on being his workmanship and created for good works that have been prepared beforehand for us to walk in. Have you ever thought “why am I here?” or “there has to be more to life than this…” would you believe me if I told you that your conception was more than a man and woman coming together and creating life. What if I told you that you were conceived in the mind and plan of God before the foundation of this world. That there is a specific purpose God had in mind just for you. He thought of you milleniums before your birth. Crazy, right? I have felt and thought the same but the way events have unfolded in my life I am starting to believe in this crazy theory more and more. But, we will talk more about purpose in a later post.
For your salvation is not only for you but for the souls of others; that every circumstance or trial is meant to build on or introduce those who are called and chosen to this eight letter word that carries much weight. The best part is all you have to do is believe in, confess and accept Christ as your Lord and Savior. I do not know if you the reader are saved or not but chances are if you are reading this post God is inviting you to receive or return back to this great gift and follow an amazing blueprint designed specifically for you.
